On Friday November 15th, our halau had the privilege of performing alongside two-time Grammy winner (and 3rd time nominee) Kalani Pe’a! We performed two beautiful mele: Hanalei I Ka Pilimoe and Ku’upoliahu.

We are proud of our haumana who practiced tirelessly the preceding days. Several haumana spent the night before making sure our dresses were hemmed perfectly for each dancer. We had to look our best if we were going to share the stage with someone as stylish as Kalani Pe’a!
Kalani was joined by talented musicians to create an atmosphere of aloha. His charisma, humor, and emotion left the crowd enrapt for the duration of his performance. Kalani was kind enough to take many photos with the dancers and stayed late to greet every fan that stayed afterward for a chance to meet him.
